  1. i hear boys are harder but I read books like baby grover to my girl and she picked up on it quick. Grover drops everthing and says i gotta go so when we went to the bathroom we allways said gotta go gotta go! Im sure there are alot of kids stories to help them remember. Good luck.

  2. Absolutely yes.  Trauma in the household can cause a child to backtrack on potty training.

The best solution is to talk to him, calmly, about it and give him control over when he will resume training.  Be careful to give your child enough attention for non-potty related achievements and occasionally prompt him to go.  Your child's school can be a partner in this process, especially if there are big changes going on at home.  Don't be afraid to enlist their help, because school can be a 'safe haven' for him emotionally if he has adults there that he trusts.

Good luck with it and best to your little guy.

  3. yes, it could be because of the divorce. although you might think that they're still small and don't know what's going on, it's not true.  they can totally understand your feeling...they don't understand what's happening, but they'llknow that you're not your usual self.  so whatever you do, don't punish or yell at him.  say "don't worry honey, accidents happen, that's nothing, we'll just get you clean in no time".  he'll be ok soon, don't worry too much about it, cause you'll make him feel worse, and he can start having "accidents" in bed or stammering etc... be loving and understanding, it's just a phase.
