Question:

My thumb cracks a lot, hurts, and is a little swelled compared to my other. Is it Arthritis?

Its done it for a year or two. Doesn't bother me to much. Sometimes it does ache. I can go a couple days without it cracking, then it comes back.

  1. Could be that or you could have tendinitis in your thumb. Go to walmart and buy a thumb brace. When your thumb starts to ache and swell wear it for a couple of days and you will start to see an improvement.  I wore the brace on my thumb when my thumb started to swell and hurt and after a few weeks of wearing it, it doesn't bother me anymore.  I hope this helps and good luck!


  2. Sounds as tho it could be arthritis. Here are two ideas for you with natural therapies that I have found very effective

    1 get some ginger tablets usually sold as travel calm or nausea relief or similar and take 2 per day

    2 Take 1000 mg of non acid vitamin c each day - sometimes sold as ester C

    Also taking 1500 mg of glucosamine sulphate may help too
