this with there child? If so, how are you handling it and what has your pediatrician said about it? Are there alternatives for pizza and ice cream?

I watch her diet closely and if she gets constipated, we have medication for her. My doctor said eventually she'll outgrow it. Please let me know if you're going through the same thing. Serious comments please, this is a sensitive subject for me and my baby. Thank you!

  1. My daughter's 15 mos. and she goes through something similar. It hasn't been a major issue, because she also eats a ton of fruits and stuff. I try to give X amount of dairy every day (no extras) so that she's not got any problems. Oh, and o.j. is good for that!

Good luck. Hope this helped a bit.

  2. about a teaspoon of benefiber each day mixed in with juice

yogurt ...yoplus, danactive, yoplait fiber one, all work well for my son

  3. my daughter went through that same stage and it was soooo frustrating cuz she was miserable. we just gave her a small amount of dairy per day and the rest of the day was fruit and apple juice. we tryed oj  cuz the acid was suppose to break stuff up for her but it actually just gave her really bad diaper rashes.

  4. yes my one cousin had the same prob and he did grow out of it  or that your lil one is allergic she cant have it have dairy products they do have lactose stuff try that my other cousin cant have milk at all he is allergic to milk or dairy products still from today he cant have it

  5. If she is lactose intolerant she will never outgrow it.  There are hundreds of soy products on the market you can substitute for dairy products.  I and all three of my girls are lactose intolerant we eat pizzas made with soy cheese, drink soy milk (soy cholcoate milk is far better tasting than dairy) we eat soy based "ice creams and yogurts".  Being vegetarians we also consume soy based hot dogs and ground veggetable product.

It's not that "sensative" of a subject for anyone.  All you have to do is pay attention to labels.
