  1. You might try Bourdoux's Butt Paste...you can get it at Target....I used this on my face...and it cleared me up fairly fast. Its not exspensive either. Very good product.  Good Luck

  2. what worked for my brother was calendula ointment. it isn't sold in store so you will have to make it. it is made by collecting a jar full of calendula flowers, just the head with the petals, then fill the rest of the jar with olive oil, let it sit in a window in the sunlight for a couple weeks, then strain out the flowers and boil the oil with beeswax, pour it into a small jar, and let it cool. when it is cool and has hardened it is ready to be used.

this was the only thing that really worked for my younger brother.

  3. No clue

  4. don't you think you should take her to the doctor

  5. Try 'Mazon', there's a soap and a cream that the 'Vermont Country Store' catalog sells

  6. I am sorry that you are going through this with your daughter, I can completely relate.  My wife and I went through a very similar thing with out baby (and are still dealing with the eczema, but it is under control).  We went to our pediatrician and then to a dermatologist then our chiropractor (who does CRA and all natural remedies) and then finally to a specialist at the Miami Children's Hospital hours away.   If you see a dermatologist make sure it is a Pediatric Dermatologist. After seeing all the doctors and trying many different things, both prescribed and remedies we found on-line and from friends, my wife delved into research and we found that the best thing to use was from a company called Arbonne Int.  They have a baby line that is all natural and safe. This along with a couple of other natural remedies has kept our toddler from any more major break outs and without any prescriptions.

You should always see a doctor, even your pediatrician, so that they can keep track of what is going on and make sure there are no infections or other issues as well.

If you would like to read a brief synopsis of our story and see the before and after pictures you can visit my wife's website at www.babysoft.myarbonne.com

It talks about what we have gone through and how we came to the answers that we have.  And I know that if you had any other questions she would be more than happy to help out, there is a link to email her at the website.

Again, we understand right where you are at as a parent dealing with a child with eczema.

    I hope this helps.

  7. Try ointment or some type of cream ...

  8. I have eczema myself, and it's not curable. It's just a skin condition that she'll have to deal with.

It's nothing terrible, it's just that she'll have to work a little harder to take care of her skin. Right now baby lotion will do, or you could try a Target brand lotion. That works really well for me.

If she gets really itchy in some places, some Vaseline will help. Eczema usually gets worse in the wintertime.

    Hope that helps!

  9. My son had this so very bad, it took over both of his little legs. He's 2 now and we started battling this at one year. His dr paid little attention to it, kept passing it off. We actually got him a new dr just because of his disregard to what we felt was important.

The new Dr. prescribed a steroid cream, but those have bad side effects. We worked our way up to the highest dose 'safe' for a toddler and still were not getting any results, other then his skin was becoming very thin.

So, now you see I'm in your place. I took a new approach. I went to a chiropractor that does some nature path stuff. After some muscle tests he found that problem originated in a lack of a bacteria in his stomach. We were given Flora Plus, a natural remedy given 3 times a day (tastes like water, i tried it).

Two weeks later, no more eczema! Over a year of trying to just 'control' it and now its fully gone! That was 4 months ago. A week after it disappeared I stopped using the Flora Plus (14 dollars btw, still have only used 1/4 a bottle, if that). Last week a small patch appeared, i put him on the med again for 4 days and its gone.

I can not possibly be happier with the results. A chiropractor is about 40 dollars for a visit, many insurances will cover it. Believe me. It is very worth it.  The very worst thing that can happen is your child will be given a natural supplement that doesn't make it better, I would rather have my son on a natural thing that doesn't work then a chemical thing that doesn't work.

***Eczema is not a disorder, it is a side effect of something else going on with your body***

  10. My daughter also suffers from eczema. Make sure you use baby detergent to wash ALL of her clothes, including bedding. Try to keep her as clean and dry as possible as sweating may make it worse. Also give Dove Sensitive Skin Body Wash a try, that is what my doctor recommended. You could also try putting a small amount of Cortisone cream on the effected areas after her bath. Hope that helps until you can get in to see the doctor!

  11. You stated you tried Aveno baby, but give Aveno lotion with menthol in it.  I'm not sure if thats the complete name of it but its the lotion in the aveno lotion in beige bottle with dark blue stripe.  The "menthol" in it is very soothing to the skin.  I have had eczema for 30 years and tried every single expensive lotion out there. This was the only one that kept my ezcema in control.  My daughter (now age 6) has been using it since around two years old and rarely has a flare up (maybe twice a year when's its really windy and dry outside).  Hope that helps....

  12. I don't know if this will help, but it worked when my daughter was a child.

Limit the amount of dairy your child is consuming.  When we reduced the dairy intake, the eczema got better.

She finally grew out of it at about 8 or 9 years old.  She has no problems with dairy intake to date.

  13. GET SOME CREAM CORTAZONE OR IF THEY HAVE ANOTHER KIND

  14. My 4yr old son & I both have eczema.....I live in Australia & I use "Ego QV" bath oil & cream that is available from the chemist (pharmacy, drugstore). The oil is fantastic. Its a touch pricey but not too expensive. For really bad eczema I use the prescribed cream "Elocon" but only when I have to as it is a steroid cream but it clears it up very fast....I have also used a natural Bath Oil made by "Grahams Natural Alternatives" which I also highly recommend...

    Best wishes! :)

  15. Cortizone will help; other than that it sounds like you are doing everything right. Your daughter may be allergic to some foods, too.  For now, until you can see an allergist, try to avoid the common food allergens (peanuts, nuts, eggs, milk).

I hope it gets better soon!
