Question:

My toddler won't eat.?

Recently I posted that my son doesn't want to eat anything but baby food. I have been taking him off baby food for more than 2 months (we went on a vaca to Russia for a month and his schedule and eating were all messed up.)

For a while now he's been very picky - only eats cheese, fruit, yogurt, raisins, broccoli, cheerios, banana. He did start drinking milk again this week, and of course drinks juice and water.

I still supplement with baby food if there have been a few days when he won't eat anything - I make a meal and if he doesn't eat it, I put him down, then he will have a snack a few hours later and has juice and milk in between.

Now he won't eat anything - yesterday he ate one baby yogurt and that's it refused cheese, banana, etc..

He won't even eat bread, crackers, p-nut butter, anything.

He is getting his 4th first molar and it seems to hurt, but I'm really worried about his nutrition. His teeth take forever to come in - once it starts it can take 3 months to come in.

  1. first you need to add how old he is. second, think outside the box. my pediatrician's child is a picky eater. when he was a toddler all he wanted to live on was juice and raman noodles. and that is all he was given. the point is that he will thrive. so find the food he does like and feed it to him, dont stress that he might be too old for baby food, or is out of the ordinary. he might like the baby food because it doesnt require so much chewing and his teeth are hurting. don't worry! he wont be 35 eating baby food! lol just relax and put something in his belly that he wants. if all he wants is baby yogurt then give him that and his juice. and milk is full of nutrients and calcium. good luck!
