Can I get it from Office Depot? And by the way, How do I know which size or type I should take? I definitely don't want to carry the broken one to the store for comparison. Thank you.

  1. as stated, there are only two type.  Round or Elongated.  the better hardware stores will display samples in different colors and finishes.  i.e. padded, wood, plastic etc.

you can't go wrong as long as you know if yours is round or elongated...

  2. There is oval ones, round ones, little ones and big ones ---if you don't want to put the old one in a brown bag and carry it in home depot,---just measure the length and the width----the hinges all fit the same--you will probably need some new bolts too. you can usually get a seat with bolts included from about $5.00 or as high as you want to go for a fancy one.

  3. You either have a round toilet bowl or an egg shaped one, which is called "Elongated toilet seat" That's it. Only two to chose from. If in doubt buy both and take the one that don't fit back to Home Despot or Lowe's. Easy as that!!!

WOW    Thank you for letting me help you.

  4. LuvtheEl has the correct answer about where to get a toilet seat. Also, the info. about the toilet being a standard or not is correct. If it's standard the only thing you need to be sure of is whether or not it is a round bowl or an enlongated oval-shaped bowl. The mounting bolts for either should be the same to match the holes in the ceramic bowl mounting ledge for the seat.

  5. any hardware store will carry them. there are only 2 sizes round or oblong.

  6. Ok, my question is 4 u.  HOW THE HECK DID IT BREAK??!!

  7. home depot sells them, walmart, kmart bed bath beyond etc. there are usually 2 shapes one is round and one is elongated. take a look at your to check or take a pic on your phone. They are very easy to insatll there is usually 2 plastic bolts that go through the seat and the porcelain and 2 plastic bolts on the other side.

    Good luck

  8. Home Depot or Lowe's will carry them. You can write down the make/model of toilet you have and ask someone at the store for the right seat, or, if you have a standard type of toilet, you can just get a standard seat.
