  1. Reach under the area where the fasteners for the seat protrude. There is a wing nut, or plastic hex nut. Tighten it!

  2. Actually just by getting up and down and the wiggling motion you make while sitting on the toilet loosens it up.  My sugestion would be to take the wing nuts off and put a little construction adhesive in the oval holes around the bolts and then replace the wing nuts.  This will fill the void that allows the seat to move and after 24 hours it will not move again.  This solution also does not harm your toilet and if you change the seat for one that has different spacing between the mounting bolts the adheasive can easily be removed to accomidate the new seat.

  3. It just needs to be tightened, mine is a wooden one and it has big silver screws so locate where it attached and just tighten the fasteners.

  4. There is a bolt on each side of the seat where it connects to the toilet. Just tighten it up with a wrench.

This happens alot in womens restrooms.

Quit wiggeling when your done. lol. it loosens the seat.

  5. there should be a wing nut underneath it....check to see if there is a plastic or rubber washer in place and just tighten....one way to prevent the loosening of the seat is to be sure not to slam it

  6. toilets  ???????????

  7. yes, just retighten

  8. look at were the the seat conects to the tolite and there should be a wing nut or nuts that you could titen with a wrench

  9. Two screws in back. Tighten them up, but they recommend not too tight. You'll need a large flat head screwdriver and some pliers. Your body will need to be flexible to get in there too.

  10. They make little felt or rubber washers to go directly under the seat that will help with this problem.  I think you can get them at Lowe's or Home Depot.  You're definitely not alone with this problem, most everybody has the same thing happen all the time.

  11. Get a new toilet seat, or tighten it.
