  1. It depends on where the clog is. If it's in the toilet itself, you can rent or buy a closet auger (toilet snake), The cable on it should be 1/2"x3' long. That will clean out anything that's in the toilet itself. Now if it's down deeper in the pipe then you will need to snake out the main line. You can rent a snake at any equipment rental. Depending how long the pipe is, I would get one that's at least 50' long or longer with at least a 1/2" or 3/4" cable on it. Don't forget the different types of heads for it. They can tell you what each different head is for and what type of cable for your area.

Hope this info will help you out.....

Also try a toilet plunger, not a sink plunger they are different....

  2. If the clog is deeper down, you might need to invest in a toilet auger, which would snake the clog out.

  3. You can rent a 'snake' (that's what my plumber calls it) and try to unstop it that way.

  4. Open the Yellow Pages.

Look up the phone number of a plumber, preferably one who makes house calls.

    Pick up the phone.

    Make a call.

  5. You may need a plumbers snake.  You can buy a really cheap one at Lowe's or HD.  Professional plumbers typical have nice ones.  It will cost you a service visit.

    Good Luck
