Question:

My tomato plants are turning Yellow...and getting kinda whimpy.?

I had little yellow flowers on my plants....and a couple of them turned into tomatoes...but they are struggling...I still have them in pots...I water them every day...I give them full Sun-Shine....but they seem to be turning Yellow and the leaves are getting whimpy....what am I doing wrong....?

  1. You are watering too much.Tomatos need one or two good soaks a week,preferably at dusk or when the sun has gone down.It sounds also as if you have a mineral deficiency.Ask your local garden center for your region. It might be nitrogen or something like that


  2. Your rotting the roots. Only water when needed. I think its too late for these plants. Good luck next year.

  3. get a good 10-10-10 fertilizer stop watering them every day.  I grow tomatoes on my deck but they are all in half wooden barrels.  Fertilize them about 25 percent the strength the package calls for .  do that every couple months.  But like most plants they don't like being wet all the time.  you may have to throw away the plants...they may be too far gone to rescue...
