I have 6 full grown tomato plants and all are bearing tomatoes....however most of them are brown and flat on the bottom...is this some kind of fungus...or disease? This is the first year I have grown tomatoes, so any help from the expert would be appreciated.

Thanks!!!

  1. If it is the tomato its self that is turning brown on the bottom and not the plant then you have a problem from dry rot which mean they aren't getting enough water

  2. I have experienced this problem in the past.  It means they are getting too much or not enough water.

  3. Could be "black bottom rot" and they need Calcium added to the soil.

  4. Normal....As the plants get older, the bottom leaves tend to do this. Leave them alone, they'll be just fine.
