yes , if your tooth is broken , the nerve is exposed. you need to get the root pulled before it gets infected.

Yes, and you need to see a dentist ASAP.  The pain can be awful.  The dentist will likely put a temporary cap on the tooth, then a permanent one after a few weeks.  Unless the tooth is rotted, he/she won't have to pull it.

well i guess it will have to hurt but the dentist can remove the root and should because it can still get a cavity
