My tooth chipped?

Question

I was chewing gum and it felt like something hard was in my gum all of a sudden! I paniked of course and i checked my piece of gum for any hard pieces there was nothing there! I ran my tongue across my top teeth and on the 2nd to last tooth it feels rough! It looks like it has a very small hole about the size of a dot! i kept feeling it and a little while later it felt like another hard piece but smaller! I have no pain should I wait and go to the dentist monday when it reopens or is this an emergency?

Is it a hole in the tooth or just a rough shallow spot?  Last month, a piece of my tooth broke off...I panic and run to the dentist...my tooth hadn't broken off, it was plaque and tarter build-up from not having my teeth clean for several years!  Go to the dentist!  If it is a broken tooth, u can fix it before it becomes painful, if not you can head off future problems.
