I bit into a tiny little tortilla and now my tooth is killing me. I went to the orthodontist today and they tightened my wires and did a bunch of stuff (i have braces). anyway.

It really hurts. The tortilla got like stuck in between the wires and then it fell out (the tortilla). It hurts really bad.

it feels loose and stuff

  1. clove oil

  2. try some pain killers like tylenol or advil!

  3. go to your local pharmacy and you can get some Tylenol or they have gels that numb pain. I forget what the name is but they shouldn't be hard to find. good luck, i am so glad i got my braces off and can eat whatever i want.

  4. pain killers..advil..etc

  5. Try some Orajel or other pain relieving gel for the mouth, and if it's still really hurting tomorrow, make an appointment with your dentist or orthodontist.  You probably just cut your gums with the tortilla chip, and it will have to heal on its own.  Fortunately the mouth heals itself pretty fast.

  6. orajel

  7. i would first take advil until you feel you can live without it. then, go to a local pharmacy and get some toothache pain reliever (topical) from the shelves and you should feel like no pain

then ice it and be gentle, it takes time

  8. A couple of my teeth loosened and I bruised the gums after I clamped down hard on a tiny bit of bone in a hamburger. I swished with warm salt water several times per day, took extra strength Tylenol as per instructions on the bottle and stopped eating hard food or chewed on the other side of my mouth. I avoided flossing or brushing the area around those teeth. In 3 days or so the tenderness and pain around the teeth and gums went away. Taking Vitamin C supplements will help your mouth fight off irritation especially when you wear braces.

  9. go to dentist

  10. kill yourself

    lol just kidding (sort of)

    try a dentist

  11. You just had your braces tightened, so pain is to be expected.  After three or four days the pain should subside.  Don't eat hard things when your teeth hurt; instead, eat soft things like yogurt and ice cream.

    Hope this helps!

  12.   Orajel always works. Try it!!

  13. Make sure it really feels loose or if your braces are loose.  Try Orajel, take some ibuprofen (advil) or Tylenol and call your Orthodontist in the morning.  Try to get some sleep.  Good Luck!
