My tooth hurts after getting hit?

it only hurts when i put pressure on it. it happened when i was at bball camp when i got elbowed in the mouth. i bit my bottom lip and the cut was somewhat deep but after i got my mind off the cut i really noticed that my tooth kinda hurt.

how long will this last?

At least two weeks. You might want to not chew on it if you can help it.

this may be due to fracture of teh root of the tooth, or trauma to the tooth pulp (nerve) which may need root canal, periapical radiograph is needed to see if the root is intact or fractures
