Question:

My tooth split?

My tooth in the bottom row, first from the back has been loose for about a month. Not really loose, but loose. (It is a baby tooth, I have not lost a lot of teeth even though I'm 13) Anyway, I was eating a piece of baguette (bread) and I felt like something was stuck between my back teeth. I ran my tongue along the back row and I didn't feel anything. So, I went to the mirror and found that the tooth had split all the way down. It didn't split down the middle but it split along the corner. ANd now there is a big corner piece split from the rest of the tooth.. My mom tried helping me pull out the smallest piece (since the tooth had already been loose) and the tooth kinda would tilt to the side really easliy but it just wouldn't come out. There is no cavity on that tooth. So what caused it? I have not drunk a lot of milk in the past year or so (my mom said that is the cause of it) .

  1. As the permanent teeth start to come in the baby teeth roots will dissolve and become weaker until they get loose and fall out.  Sometimes baby teeth can break before they come out. If you cannot get out the rest of the baby tooth see your dentist.
