I like Eli the best, but I think it should be spelled Ellie, or is is pronounced E-lie? Tess is cute too, Arabella sounds like she is from the south, or an old fashioned country movie.

Arabella is one of my favorite names, it's so very beautiful. Tess is also a great name, very pretty and also has some spunk. Eli is fine, though I prefer it on a boy, but I can see it working for a girl. Have a safe delivery in September.

tess is just o.k to me but i do like simple names but arabella rolls off the tongue and sounds so much more graceful and elegant.

eli is a male name even if your friend was named that  that's like naming a boy jill and acting like it's cool or somethin. it's not it's just somthing the kid has to deal with everytime they meet someone.  anytime a male has a feminine name they always go by a nickname.  names are a big deal because it sucks to always be correcting people

My favourite name from your list is Arabella. It's a sophisticated name with  old-fashioned charm. You could use so many nicknames too (Ara, Ary, Ella, Belle, Bella). The name Arabella has quite an interesting history too. It's an elaboration of the Medieval Scottish form of Annabel.

Tess to me is more of a nickname than a name. It sounds a bit dated, and really pales in comparison to Arabella. I like Theresa with Tess as a nickname.

To me, Eli is a masculine name. Although I like some boys names on girls, I just can't picture this name on a little girl. It is a handsome Hebrew boys name, and has a cute meaning: 'ascension; my god'. If you want to use a similar name, why not use Elisha? It's pronounced e-lie-sha. Elisha was a prophet in the Old Testament, and the name meanings 'god is my salvation'. This name is also traditionally masculine, but as it has a feminine sound the name is being used more frequently for girls. Elisha is a very nice name, and you could always use Eli as a nickname.

I love Eli! Even for a girl. You can even name her Elliot and call her Eli. That way if she doesn't like having a boy's name she can go by Ellie as a nickname for Elliot. Or just Eli, which is still adorable.
