  1. Perhaps it would help to be able to spell "capital" in carrying out your search.

I would base my arguments on the Human Rights legislation and the fact that any national legislation purporting to make capital punishment legal would be in direct conflict with it.

  2. I am totally for Capital Punishment.  Look at the Scott Peterson case here in Modesto.  He murdered his wife and future son probably because he wanted to date other women and having a wife and a son would put the brakes on this.  He already had an affair going on in the process.  When they caught the b*****d he had ten g's in cash and had altered his appearance near the border of Mexico.  He is on death row here in California.  Now this is a good case for the death penalty and i am so glad they convicted his as$

  3. An interesting study was just published and conducted by a multi-disciplinary members with some surprising results.  Maybe this will give you some ideas.

  4. No, capital punishment is unjust, unless its a murder in my opinion. Anyone that takes another human life should be dealt with accordingly. Instead of housing them in prison with 3 square meals a day for the rest of there life, we should be dosing them up with leukimia or something and running tests on them to try to find cures. Why not use them as lab rats? They didnt care about anyone elses life so why should we care about theres? But the old capital punishment of if you steal you get a hand chopped off and things like that are completely unjust. Everyone needs to learn life lessons.

  5. The problem is what happens when they get it wrong? which it has been on many occasions in the past,do the family of the person who was executed,by whatever means, then get to pick one of the jurors who sat in judgement to be executed themselves? Do we pay them millions in compensation or simply shrug our shoulders and think"oh well, oops".

Human rights are contentious as no country truly abides by them,America doesn't ie guantanamo bay, britain hasn't ie iraq prisoners beaten and killed etc etc, human right cause as much damage as it claims to protect, prisoners should have the right to safety in prison,3 meals aday and visitors access to doctors, but that is all, they should be made to work,no tv's,no playstations etc.

The right to take another persons life is a difficult concept for many,if anyone I knew with children suffered because of a child molester of course I would want them dead,in fact I would want to kill them myself no trial not prison, just a painful and slow death, but that is because it is personal...capital punishment is something that most people want worldwide but the academics and politicians veto it,some countries exhibit barbaric punishments that belong in the dark ages,no offence but look a fundamental muslim countries and how disgracefully they abuse women....the answer is never clear, never agreed upon and  only divides opinion....
