My transit side lights dont come on but the headlights do

Question

when i switch on the side lights the y do got come on.the headlights do when switched on.Is the fault in the switch,how can I get over this???

If your rear lights are out too your headlight switch is faulty, you will probably find that the teminals in the plug going the the switch will be slightly burnt where they have overheated, you would be best finding an auto spark who can repair it for you because it is not a part that you can buy.

Have you checked the bulbs? Start with the simple things first. If bulbs ok check the contacts are clean. Then check the wiring to the switch as it may be loose or fractured. Then check the switch is actually switching current to the bulb. A cheap multimeter set to ohms is needed to prove continuity of circuits and switch operation.
