  1. who really goes to a hotel to swim in the pool? my point is the pool is not a key feature, the room is, now if you had a hole in the wall of your room that would be something....

  2. If you're seeking compensation, it should come from the hotel, not your agent, if it is true that she was informed the work had been completed.

  3. It's not your travel agents responsibility to compensate you. She could only tell you what they told her.

You need to seek compensation from the hotel, not the agent.

And if you had access to the pool next door, you may not have much recourse.

I know how much this can p*ss you off. I've had it happen to me several times and I was hot. But there was no compensation forthcoming.

Good luck.... remember ... squeaky wheel gets the grease. Keep after them, tell them what you want, be persistent, but not rude. TENACIOUS!!!!!

  4. If you really think you have a good case contact the BBC programme "Watchdog."  They have a website to report this sort of thing.

  5. If they were members of ABTA you can complain to ABTA online.
