  1. This just paint from the gravel that got chipped off. Just let your filter run and it should be fine. If it would make you feel better, clean it entirely. You need to cycle your tank before adding any fish you hope to keep. Piranha get pretty big. They are largely harmless, just scavenging for food, but they are quite messy. I hope you got a large tank.

  2. its just the dust and debris from the pebbles, which is why you should wassh it thoroughly..... just scoop it out with a net, or do a water change aswell.....

    Hope i helped!

  3. sounds like irritating dust particles. perform regular water changes and in time they will disappear. careful that they may well clog the top part of your filter though.  remember to cylcle your tank thoroughly before getting the pirhanas.  get you water professionally tested in the shop. some places will just sell you the fish without testing the water!!!

  4. Try scooping the bits off of the top of the tank with a net. Then mix the water around in the tank and hopefully the filter will pick the rest out. You may need to do this several times. Make sure you clean the filter before you put the fish in.

If that don't wok then i advise you to empty out the tank and start again. Make sure that everything is set up correctly before you put any fish in. Otherwise they will just die.

  5. Try catching the brown bits with a net then leave the filter do the work.  Clean the filter and test the water before you add the fish.
