My truck squeaks only when i turn left, then it stops once i go straight.What could this be?

  1. You don't say what make or model you have.  If it is front wheel drive, then it is likely coming from the CV joint.


  2. if it is a truck, it's probably rear wheel drive, most likely the rubber mount on the front sway bar....

  3. inkjax is right on. But do check the tie rod, thats often the issue after the bearings and brakes are not the problem.

  4. A squeak is a cry for some type of lubricant in a place where there once was lubricant, but is no more. Seems fairly obvious to me. In fact i think you have answered your own question.

  6. It's possible a brake pad has worn down and you're hearing the wear indicator.  It's also possible you have a worn suspension component making that noise.  Can't really say from the internet.

  7. trucks --real trucks dont have c-v joints.  check your bearings then the brakes and then be sure the wheel is tight . some wheels (rims) squeek too. you may be hearing a "rub" too . from the tire --if overly large-- can flex into the tie rod and it will leave a mark on the inside of the tire.. you'll see that ..
