My turtle laid an egg without a mate, I just found the egg in the tank but I dont know why???

That's the equivalent of your period. Except that, so far as I know, turtles don't get cramps and they aren't regular.

Don't worry - a lot of female reptiles and birds will lay "blank" eggs - basically a regular egg that hasn't been fertilized.  They feel the need to be reproductive, which is the point of living, but there is no one around to fertilize, so they lay what they normally would.
