  1. Ring the council to come and collect it.  Its a free service where I live, and might be where you are.  therwise take it to your local tip - they will have a container for recycling electrical goods, or a rubbish skip to chuck it in.

  2. You can't throw them away. It is against the law in the UK. You have to dispose of it in the correct way. Call your local council for more details.

  3. in the skip, down a tip or somewhere

i am curious... how did it blow up?

  4. Your local recycling centre (formerly known as the local Dump) will have a special area for tv sets.

These days they will also take used batteries, paint, fluorescent tubes, oil and other nasty stuff.

Look up Yellow Pages or your Local Autority web site for your nearest dump.

It is illegal to chuck these things away, and you can't put it in your wheelie bin.  They must be properly disposed of.

  5. you have obviously been watching too much Britains Got Talent.

Maybe now your tv has blown up you will have time for more constructive stuff, like posting questions on Y!A.

If you feel the need to throw it, why not across the room, garnish with a few daisies and cigarette butts and exhibit it at the Tate Modern
