  1. first you should never buy a new bird and put it in the same cage as your old one because they will fight

put you new bird in a different cage but in the same room so they get to know each other

leave them in different cage's for about 1 mouthe than try to put them back in the same cage(but if you can buy a new cage that will be the best thing to do and put them in that new cage to getter so they will bought be in a new home together because your old bird mit not let your new bird stay because that's his territory)

any way were was i ok for about 1 mouthe and put them in the same cage and see want happens if they fight a little leave them but if they fight a lot them separate them for 1 more week

    hope i help

  2. Well, they are kinda just like kids, aren't they...  I would say to watch them very carefully.  You may not be able to let them out at the same time.  Over time they should adjust to one another.  Or, the cockateil will learn to stay away from the conure as it gets older and wiser.  They will adjust with time.  This I can promise you...No worries.

  3. That conure will kill that the baby cockatiel. You should NEVER let them be in the same cage or loose together. And a baby cockatiel should NEVER have to be fighting anything at this age, that conure will kill the cockatiel. PLEASE keep them apart, the cockatiel being a baby it doesn't know any better and is going to die if that conure pokes any kind of hole in it's skin because YOU allow the conure to fight with it and bite on it.

  4. I would keep them in separate cages and put the cages near each other for a while, see how they act when near. Your cockateil is a might bit smaller than the conure and can get seriously hurt. I have 3 different species of parrots and do not let them hang out with another species. They will flock call to each other and answer, but I think it is just too dangerous to have them out at the same time. I take each bird away from the bird room for out of cage time so accidents can be avoided.

  5. wow...hmmm I'd ask your vet...the best thing for now is to seperate them and just get them used to having each other around. I doubt that birds that start off negatively are going to become friends...but u can always try letting them duke it out?

    I'd call your vet!

  6. I don't know if they will every be able to friends but I wouldn't take the risk. Make absolutely certain that the cockatiel does not climb on cage or your conure can and will bite your 'tiels toes off.
