I am a hamster breeder and my two hamsters fight but only the female appears hurt. What should i do? I am a novice breeder but have done a lot of research on breeding and my friend is an expierienced breeder. The female is the only one that appears hurt but the male is very scared or excited and runs around the cage when I try to pick him up. I am worried that they will end up dying or they will never get along and wont mate. Also, the female is fat but has never had contact with any other male, could they still have babies?

  1. NEVER KEEP MORE THAN ONE HAMSTER IN A CAGE TOGETHER!  They cannot live together.

You can put them together for breeding times, but that is ALL.

  2. Seperate them now!!!!! They arnt ready to breath, surly ur friend should know that if they're experienced!!!!! Take the male out. The female is the boss in hamster world and she wil kill him if you leave them together, they usually mate on a cycle of 4 days so try putting them togeter in like 3 days or so and keep a close eye on them to you see how they get on, always bring the male to the female and once they've mated seperate them  coz once the female is pregnant and she knows it then she'll no longer need the male and if he keeps at here she will fight him.

  3. They would not probably have babies. You should put them away from each other.

  4. proably just fat.
