  1. From what I have reserched Robo Hamsters do like to be housed together because they are extremely social. But animals like ppl have different personallities and you may have 2 hamsters that just dont like each other no matter what. Your best option here would be to just seperate them into different cages. If not you may wake up one morning and find one dead in the cage. I had 2 rats that were sisters. Sunshine and Spot. Even though they were female rat and sisters at that they hated each other. Really odd because majority of rats will get along and the fact that they were sisters was really odd. Yes I know they were sisters because they were from one of my litters that one of my rats had. Sunshine was always picking on poor little Spot. Well I woke up one day and Spot was dead. If it were me I would seperate your little furballs.

  2. yeah. we had three hamster boys in one cage...bad idea. they would every week or so. try keeping them in different cages. the one that bites you probably thinks you're gonna bit him like the other hamster.

    hope it helps!

  3. You can't keep hamsters together.  They are solitary animals who need to be kept alone.  Separate them before they kill each other.

  4. i had the same problem with my two dwarf hamsters. i think there's the constant need to fight for the alpha male/female position and dominate the territory. i finally had to separate them b/c it was too damaging for the weaker one. you know their lifespan can be shortened b/c of too much stress like that? serious.

  5. I have 3 dwarf hamsters (2 girls and one boy) The girls are fine together but at first they didn't like each other and made that clicking noise, so i put them in different cages and cleaned the cage i wanted them to live in really well. I put the less dominant  girl in first and then added the other the had a couple tiffs but by the end of the day they were fine.

  6. Seperate them. It's the only thing you can do. It's perfectly normal and you should never again in the future put two hamsters together in one cage. They will get territorial, even females, and fight for dominace. One day soon, if you don't seperate them, you WILL end up waking up to the carcass of the beta hamster who lost to the new alpha.

I don't blame you for not knowing much about hamsters not being that social. Many people have the thought that hamsters do better together, but that's not true. It's the other way around.

To fix the biting, handle your hamsters daily and when you touch them, say "pet" or "pick up" if you are going to pick it up. Make sure your hamsters know the difference between food and human fingers. When you feed your hamsters, don't feed them through the bars. Say a special word when you feed them, like "yum yums", so they can associate that word with eating. When you don't say that word, soon enough they'll learn not to bite.

    Good luck!
