He takes off his diaper before he pees, however he refuses to sit on his very expensive potty chair. It plays music however he has figured out if you put your two fingers over the metal sensors inside the potty, it will play music. Why doesnt he want to sit on his seat?

  1. i bought an expensive chair for my son too, and he hates it. we ended up buying the seat that goes over the toilet, he loves it. he wanted to potty where mom and dad potty, so try that. and my son done that alot to. he would say he needed to poo-poo, and we would go sit on the potty, and would just pass gas. it is normal, he isn't sure on the difference in feeling yet. while potty training my son, he sometimes thought he just has to pass gas, and ended up pooping on himself, and the other way around. it just takes time.

  2. Why buy a potty for a boy? Get him a stool, and let him pee in the big potty. As for the farts being mistaken, he's still young, so you never know when the stink will be followed by something more solid! If he says he's gotta poo poo, then drop his drawers and put him on the big potty.  Sit there long enough for him to try (and make sure he's trying!).  He'll figure out when he's got something or not--just give him time!

  3. I think I would suggest you to watch  your own diet(i assume you are breast feeding him).that cause gas.he is drinking milk from you that containing same diet nutrition.don't eat beans or something..meanwhile you must have some patience as he is just only 2 years old.but try to let him learn somehow so he would go for poo himself.I know its lots of effort but that's what we call motherhood..
