There would be no transferring from a college from America. After I finish my one or perhaps two years in France. I would like to come back to transfer to a 4-year college in California. What would be the cost of college in France if I live with my uncle?

  1. There's the American University of Paris - http://www.aup.fr/ which is probably the easisest option for you in terms of transfering and breadth of study options.

There's also Schiller University http://www.schillerparis.com/ which seems to lean more towards the business side of things, which may not suit you.

It's definitely not cheap to do (over 20k euros/year) since they're private institutions, but you might get some financial aid and you would still be able to get federal loans and so on.

  2. university in france is pretty much free because the government pays for it unless you want to go to one of the grandes ecoles, but unless you have citizenship in the eu you would have to get a student visa
