  1. You could try getting an original replacement. Advent parts are available from Andrewselectronics.com and Vancebaldwin.com

  2. The Advent Instruction Manual contains manufacturers codes for universal remotes supplied with your Advent TV. If the codes are not listed in the universal remote's manual, you may want to try a code search function. Advents contact details are below.

    ADVENT TV

    22122 20th Ave.SE

    Suite H-158

    Bothell, WA

    USA, 98036

    Tel: 1-888-474-2314

    e-mail service@pwwservice.com

    web site: www.adventtv.com

  3. Universal remotes almost all have "learning" capability. It is much less convenient to set up than having the correct signals all selected by just putting in one code for your particular component, but it works.

The learning setup involves putting the two remotes (old and new) on a table or desk facing each other. You punch in some codes on the new remote to let it know to be ready to see the new signal then select the key you want to put the tv function on, then push that button on the old remote. The new remote will recognize and remember the signal, and after that you can use the new remote the same as the old.
