My vhs/dvd combi doesnt seem to work with my new digital tv

Question

I have a new digital tv but a 5 year old samsung dvd/vhs combi that doesnt seem to be able to record and DTV programs. If I take the aerial out of the tv to put via the combi. the TV cant get an aerial signal so then I can't watch tv. Any ideas or is my combi out of date ? !!!!

Remember, your dvd recorder has to have a signal.  Run your antenna or cable to it first and then to the TV.  It should pass the signal on to the tv even if it's off.

Rememberr to set the tv on channel 3 or 4 when viewing the dvd player.  Remember to set the dvd recorder channel to thechannell you want to record.
