i just bought Kworld usb2.0 dvd maker hoping to transfer my video 8 tapes to my personal computer. I alrdy installed all the softawres that came with it. When i plug the usb in my computer, the latter recognises that a hardware is attached but the handycam won't appear anywhere. I'm facing a brick wall, what can i do?

  1. Your PC will only see the KWorld converter - the camcorder doesn't have a direct connection with it.  There seem to be a number of different apps supplied with that converter, none of them very good!  Windows Movie Maker should see the converter as a capture device when you go to Capture Video, but you'll need to control the camcorder manually, i.e. set it to play.

  2. Open the video editing program and capture the video.
