My video camera is showing stripes?

Whenever I record on it and then play it it shows stripes in the way. The camera is touch screen and I've been trying to fix it. Even when I connect it to the TV it still shows stripes in the way of the video. Ive been worried what should I do?

If your vcam is tape-based, try to clean the recording heads using tape cleaner diskette. Pop-in a new diskette... fast forward, then rewind. Record and see the results..

If the stripes still appear, probably summers' just around the corner!  ... then you'll have to bring your vcam to the nearest service shop.
