My visa is B1B2 and im getting married how long it gonna takes to have a green card or work permit?

my visa is B1B2 and ive been here since Nov.14 and im getting married to US citizen.i just wanna know what im gonna do and the papers that i need(im filipino).and i wanna know if i can work as long as im waiting for my green card.

when you file for a change of status to get your green card, you can also file for a working permit.  Once this is in the process you cannot leave the US.  Becuase it is a new marriage it will probably take long maybe more than  a year (they want to make sure you didn't just marry to get the green card), but you should be able to work during that time

I suggest you go to the www.USCIS.gov website to find out more, also, try to get a lawyer specializing in immigration.
