Okay.

Last year my left eye's vision was 20/70. I recently went in, and now it's 20/200. The doctor said that 20/200 is legally blind. My right is is fine, and I can see perfectly okay if my right eye isn't closed.Anyways.

I asked if, because it went from 70 to 200 in one year, if it will continue to grow worse and worse. She said that usually that is the case.

Now I'm wondering if there will be a time when I'm permanently blind in my left eye. I'm going into a professional's on Monday, but I'm just curious.

(I actually think it's quite funny...I've always been optimistic, and if it does turn out that I'm going to be blind, well, I'm perfectly fine with that. Gives me something to chat about over the dinner table. My friends say I'm insane to be so happy and 'chipper' about it, but, hey. If I give up hope, than what am I?)

Any information would be welcome.

Thanks,

Phoenix

  1. Try doing eye exercises. Type in eye exercises on yahoo or google and see what websites come up. Eye exercises have been known to improve vision.

  2. Maybe it is your age... mine changed alot like that in both eyes from the age of 18- 20 yrs. old. I hope this helps.
