My vista pc is configuring updates but it can't do it so shouts down over & Over any help?

I like the hockey stick solution, but would also suggest turning the volume down on the speakers.  No one wants to hear the computer shout down over and over, and certainly not while you work it over with the stick.

Take your hockey stick and shout down at your computer. If it ignores you whack it a few times with your hockey stick. That should do the trick. A hockey stick can fix any problem if you've got good hands. (PS:  Why in the world are you using Vista?  Yeeecchh!)
