My vista search is showing known existing items?

Question

lets say i created a file called "thisFileisText.txt". Now, lets say i deleted that file from my desktop and then empty my recycle bin. When i goto Computer and type in the search bar at the top right hand corner "thisFileisText" it comes up with that file that was deleted. So, when i right click it and press delete it says it cannot find the file.

If it couldnt find the file, WHY WOULD IT BE IN THE SEARCH?

Please help!

Coz they're already indexed. You need to tell Vista to restart indexing (therefore cleaning any traces)

It is not the search you are looking at.

You are looking at recent documents hence it is figuring in it
