there are lots of things you could do.  if the white is what's bothering you, pick another color in your room that you like, like say blue, and get a very, very light shade of blue[almost white] maybe a quart and a feather duster.  dab the feather in the paint[pour in a pie tin] and dab the walls every which way with the duster.  maybe just the window wall at first to be sure its an o.k. color for you.  you could also do just the top half of three walls.  use your imagination and have fun!

Are you in a position to decorate your room.  Do you own place or rent?  Paint your room the colour you would like.  Posters and drawings wouldn't be a good idea unless you're a kid at heart.  If you have bulletin that would work.   I don't know how are you are so I couldn't advise you how to decorate nor I wouldn't know if  you had the stemina to actually do something .

you could:

-take a few good photos, put them in some cheap picture frames and arrange it to look slightly electic

-take old shelving, attach it to the wall, and put awards, decorations, etc. on it

-you could even hang different colored CDs on your wall and arrange them at different lengths

Buy some fabric in a design you like and hang them length ways down the walls.  Use velro strips to attatch to the walls.  This saves painting and you can change it when you feel like it!
