My washer doesn't stop filling, what could be wrong with it??

My washer doesn't stop filling up at a certain level, it just keeps filling up with water. It will only fill or spin, but it doesn't get to that wash cycle because it doesn't stop at any load level.

Does anyone know how I can fix it?

I think it's over four years old, but not old enough to stop working properly.

  1. Sounds like a mechanism problem.  Have someone look at it and if it cant be fixed, you might have to get a new one.

  2. There may be a leak...if i were you, ask a handyman or plummer for help.  If you have a warranty for over 4 years, you may be able to get a refund or replacement.  Good Luck!

  3. Most likely it is a pressure switch(load selector).  There is a small tube that runs from the bottom of the outer tub up to the pressure switch in the console.  Sometimes this tube can  become loose from either switch or from the bottom of the tub.  The simplest way to check the switch is to unplug the machine then access the back of the console.  Remove wires attached to pressure switch and undo hose.  Then just blow into where the hose was connected just like blowing bubbles in your milk when you were little.  If you here a click, chances are that your pressure switch is good.

  4. Most likely your water level switch is not working. Go to the website for the washer and see if you can find a parts diagram for the unit. You can then locate and either fix or replace the level switch...
