  1. call the plumber. DUH

  2. do you have a well or city water?if it's a well it could be going dry.have you had rain?is it tapped into a spring? has anyone built a new house next to you?

  3. You could have a sock or something stuck in the drain pipe.  Check around where the water pours into your washer, and also take off the hose that the water drains out of your washer from if you can.  You will probably find something stuck in one of those two places.

  4. I have to think you have a clog in the sewer piping, the washing machine is low compared to other fixtures, and any waste generated is backing up into the washing machine.

Try reducing the amount of waste you generate until you can get someone out.  Hopefully some waste will slowly get past the clog.

  5. I think you're going to be out of luck until you can afford a plumber.  You could have a serious septic problem and it'll only get worse by starting to back up into your toilets, bathtubs, and sinks.  So, I would make that phone call a priority!

  6. Sounds like you have something stuck in one of the pipes that go into the machine, either the inlet pipe or the outlet pipe, so all i can suggest is take them off and take a look as they are attached to the back of the machine you can unscrew then quite easy, then put them into the sink and run cold water through them and wash them out, as that should clear anything that maybe stuck in them.
