My washing machine is a brand new GE front loader last years model and it stinks.?

We recently just moved in to a new house and bought a new washer, I have a baby and I am constantly doing laundry pretty much everyday. The problem is that my laundry stinks, most of the time the clothes come out fine but my husbands dress shirts smell and the our towels after only using them once have a weird smell, I know it is the washing machine because it smells like that too. I leave the door open so it can dry out and I have ran it with no clothes but just bleach to see if that will help. Has anyone had this problem is it the washing machine or the water? How can I fix this from happening? I do not think it is the water because people I know around here don't seem to have this problem.

Call the store you bought it from, and call GE customer service.  GE is very good about correcting problems.  Here is the website...look on the right side for all contact numbers.

PROBLEM IS: Americans and Australians are Not used to front loaders and they still continue to use COLD WATER. NO NO NO Front loaders operate best by using warm water all the time with a hot wash every month or so.

using warm water cleans the clothes better and it kills the germs which caused the smell.

FL's have so many tubes and pipes which need the warm water to clear them out each time.

if you use warm then it must be your detergent, dont use cheap rubbish like Spree, that just creates a horrible smell.

also take the clothes out as soon as theyre washed and air out the machine as you said.

hope this works, if Not then theres Not really a true reason.

Never heard of this problem.  Can you wash your husbands clothes separatly?  If so, and you still have the smell, I would call the warranty people (if you still have warranty on the machine)

take it back to the people you bought it from and have them take a look at it
