My washing machine will not complete the rinse cycle

Question

It will wash and final spin, but will not fill up to rinse. It is a Kenmore. Can someone give me some trouble shooting tips, thanks!

the reason it will not go past the rinse cycle it is not getting cold water, the hose bib could be turned off or the water valve cold side screen could be full of dirt. Most washer use cold water rinse to get the soap out.

Sounds like the timer is not working properly

I agree it sounds like the timer since the wash water fills, that rules out the fill valve.
