My wasse jumped out of a water bowl and now he has red dots on his tail, any suggestions of what it is?

my six stripped wasse jumped out of the water bowl when i was cleaning my tank. I'm not sure how long he was out but he was still moist. i put him back in and hoped for the best and now hes swimming around in the tank again, but he seems to have developed some red spots on his tail fin. any ideas of what it is?

Probably developing fin rot. Try melafix.

Why would you take your fish out of the tank to clean it in the first place?

The only thing you can do is keep an eye on him.  He should recover, but his slime coat may be damaged so he'll be more susceptible to disease and parasites.
