Question:

My water dragon is skinny and sleeping alot is that normal?

The water dragon at the pet store is always active and more bigger.

  1. I would take your water dragon to the vet and have him checked for parasites.

Of course it's not normal.  Because you haven't provided any husbandry information, it's really hard to pinpoint what could be wrong... but here are some things that could be affecting him:  inadequate temperatures, lack of UVB lighting, parasites, infection, etc.  I'd suggest getting a good digital thermometer to measure your temps (the stick ons can be up to 25 degrees off).

    Then, if you don't have a UVB source, I'd suggest getting him a good UVB bulb (NOT a compact bulb, you need a long fluorescent bulb that is within 12" of him and not being passed through screen).  

    If that doesn't work within a few days, I'd suggest getting him to a vet with a p**p sample.  He could have parasites.

  3. NO, this isn't normal go to your local pet store an get a supplement called jump start an give it to him twice aday untill hes the way he use to be .
