Question:

My waterheater is leaking?

Due to that my kitchen is full of water and it also wet my upper celing do i have to worry like filing the insurance and claim or it will be ok and clean up the water? please help

  1. It's hard to give any advice without standing in your kitchen and assess the damage. First...find and repair the water leak. If the water heater is leaking from a fitting, get it fixed. If it's coming from the tank...you'll need a new water heater.


  2. Contact your insurance company to see if it is covered. If the tank is leaking, it cannot be repaired and must be replaced. Water inbetween the floor and ceiling will need to be addressed. This will mean tearing out the portion of the ceiling affected. Otherwise, mold will grow.
