My website gets hundreds of hits a day but no one is buying anything. Can anyone tell me why this might be?

How are you getting your traffic?

did you buy it?

it might be junk traffic if you bought it.

Or your site doesnt have a call to action.

give something for people to give u their email

for example.

congrats dat u r getting around 100hits a day,but u r not getting the sales because u r landing page(where the link leaves the visitor)is not that attractive or informative...leave some offers give that page some professional touch...gud luck  !!!Cheerss!!!

Thats an impossible question to answer without knowing the site and the niche. Every niche is different on what you can do to monetize it.

Often the reason had to do with the copy - it might be worth having your site appraised by an expert.

They offered the same advice for those wanting or have number one ranking say in Google - no good if your visitors don't stay!!

A hit is when anything on your site appears such as a page, an image, button, etc.  So a few hundred hits could only be 20 pages viewed or about 3 people visiting your site.

If you are getting a few hundred visitors a day and no sales there is something wrong.  The most common issues are that I can think of are;

1)No contact details - you need a contact form with full address and phone number.

2)No SSL - I would never but anything from a site with no ssl.

3)Not enough information. If you just have an image of your product and nothing else there is not enough information for a potential customer to make an informed decision about your products.

4)Not relevant to what search term they entered to get to your site.  If they wanted a cake recipe and ended up on a site that sells cakes in Anytown USA they will not be interested in your site.

5)Poor design and unprofessional looking site.  If your site is not professional looking then they won't trust it.

6)Incomplete Privacy Statement and Conditions of Use.
