I think an Apple dress with a gold sash would be beautiful. If you wanted your Maid of Honor to be different have her wear Gold with an Apple sash.

I'd say apple, as it's very difficult to find dresses in the right shade of gold. My colours are pale pink, cream/ivory and gold or champagne, haven't decided on that. I wanted gold bridesmaids, but it's hard to get metallic dresses in the right shade in a style that you like. So now I'm thinking cream dress in a cocktail length with a floaty hemline, or long pink dresses, a shade or two darker than mine. My dress is pale pink.

If you don't want them in apple, you could put them in ivory dresses like the cream ones I described with an apple sash around their waist.

I'd go with a combination of the apple and gold colors, using different styles of dresses for each bridesmaid.  If you have 3 bridesmaid, go with 3 different styles of dresses, but in the same color scheme.  Kind of like Jenna Bush did in her wedding.  It was beautiful!  Good luck.

Depends on how much you like them. Everyone has a black dress, or can get one cheap. If you expect them all to go out and drop 70$ on a dress the exact shade of apple as the rest of the deco, you must have better friends than I do.

Do you want your MOH to wear a different color dress then your bridesmaids? If so I would put your MOH in gold and the other bridesmaids in red. If you would prefer to have them all in the same color then you could go either way - but you will find that it will be easier to find dresses in red rather than gold.

I guess it depends on what shade of "apple." If it's apple green and your wedding's in spring, go w/ that color for their dresses! That would be beautiful! I would avoid ivory, regardless of whether or not your dress is off-white or bone-white or ivory itself. If it's candy-apple red you're using and your wedding's in the fall, then I'd go w/ that for their dresses. Anytime a bride has her court in unusual bright colors that pop, it's so unique! (and makes the bride stand out even more!)

If I were a bridesmaid, I would want the apple.  If your dress is Ivory, then I would not do their dresses that color, it won't pop as well.
