with wedding details and our plans for the rest of the weekend. How do I let our out-of-town guests know that we'll be going out to dinner the night before and that are welcome to join us, but that they will have to pay for their own meal? By the way, this is not a rehearsal dinner!!

  1. I think it could be as simple as saying something like this:

Friday night "Jack" and "Jill" will be dining out at "Le Fancy Restaurant" and would be delighted if you could join them.  Dinners range between $20 and $30 per person and the dress code is business casual.  Please let us know if you could like to join us.

If you do it that way, by including the approximate meal cost, your guests should understand that you are not footing the bill and by adding the dress code it makes it appear as though you are just filling in all the details should they decide they'd like to dine with you.

Hope this helps!  Congratulations and good luck!
