I am getting married beginning of september. I always thought the last month was the craziest time, but my august calandar is empty... i think im getting stressed because im NOT stressed.. lol.. weird i know.

i just have the feeling like im forgetting something or "hey how come this was so easy.. i must have messed something up along the way" i guess i watch alot of wedding shows right now cuz its my turn but they all seem to be freaking out about something and im cool as a cucumber. is this normal?? im glad im enjoying every moment but i still feel like something is forgotten or missing...

  1. The shows look for the spazmatic brides.  It wouldn't be fun to watch if they were all cool as cucumbers.  don't worry, you are probably a good planner and you deserve to relax!!  Congratulations!

  2. I was the same way and thought the exact thing! What I did was check out a bunch of wedding check lists to make sure i had my bases covered from attire to finalizing caterers and bar tenders to ceremony items like the unity candle, programs etc. The best checklist i found was on theknot.com They were really helpful! Good luck and congrats!

  3. I' been feeling that way pretty much through my wedding process as well... but now handling who's picking up who at the airport dilemma's of family and friends flying in (starting on monday) it's becoming a little more hectic (my wedding date is August 16th 2008). I guess it's becoming a little more "real!" Hehe :) Good luck!

  4. Surprisingly, I was cool as a cucumber the entire time, even the morning of my wedding. I always thought that I would definitely lose it (I have anxiety issues) and I didn't even shed a tear. I can't watch a wedding show without shedding some tears, yet for my wedding couldn't shed one. Chill out and relax. Everything will be great and people will have fun, even if you forgot something. Well, as long as there is food and liquor everyone will be fine and have fun!!

  5. I know EXACTLY what your saying.

My best friend got married last October and the last month she was in pieces, me, not so much.

I think as the wedding gets closer (mine is August 30th) I'll start to frazzle a bit more... lol

  6. Breathe... and be happy! :)

You are probably just an incredibly organized person who got things done early and handles pressure well. Go through your list one more time and if you can guarantee that nothing has been left out then just enjoy a slow month that will make it easier to deal with anything if it does pop up.

  7. I'm sure you have looked at all the check lists.  My wedding is september 6th.  I have a packed schedule.  I have to do my last fitting, meet with the DJ, florist, bartender, wedding coordinator, do my hair and make up trial, final dye and hair cut, dentist.  I also have to finish my favors, centerpieces, place cards, decorations for the trolley to the church and reception, bathroom baskets, gift bags for overnight guests.  I could go on and on.  I'm calm, but have something to do every single day.  you must have just taken care of a lot already and decided not to torture yourself with too much little projects.
