I'm getting married in October of this year up in WV. Beautiful colors!!! I live in FL so I haven't actually seen the place where the ceremony will be held. My Step Mom sent me a bunch of pictures and I'm thinking about doing it under a tree. By the time October comes the leaves will be at their peak, but should I still have an archway or just use the tree???

  1. You don't have to have an archway if you don't want one.

  2. I think you shouldn't use an archway... it'll distract with the pretty colors of the leaves if your'e directly under the tree.

    Congrats!

  3. It's too hard to say and get an exact answer! I personally suggest you refer to the "Ask April Dating Tips" on ---http:// www.richmingle.com for more good advice for your question.

  4. An archway or a bridal canopy would keep the leaves from falling down on you guys during the ceremony and would also look awesome in pictures.

  5. I would be leary of using the tree because of the falling leaves that time of year.  However, that doesn't mean you should have an archway if you don't want one.  Maybe just a smaller alter or something toseparatee you from the officiator.  An archway is pretty and can be decorated with flowers, but can also be a distraction.  It's all up to you.

  6. Nope...I am with you...the colors of WV in the Autumn are magnificent, why not use them to your advantage! Ever seen Run Away Bride!?

  7. you can have anything you want since it is your special day and it should only happen once in your life.

  8. You don't have to have an archway unless you want one.  I think it would be very pretty getting married under the tree with all the colorful leaves.

  9. I'd just use the tree. Archways are nice, but they are an extra expense.

  10. I went to a wedding last month outdoors and there was no archway or altar or anything, and it looked naked.  just people sitting out in a field frankly.  don't bet on the fall foliage though, by the time your wedding rolls around all the leaves could be dead and gone.  welcome to the north.  well, WV isn't really the north but it's north of FL.
