My weight loss plan will it work?

i wanna lose 30 pounds by my b-day (thats my b-day gift to myself)my b-day is december 20 i just started 2 days ago of 1 hour of cardio hi-lo aerobics 7 days a week when school start(sep 8) im probly gonna do 30 mins of cardio every day i m 5,4 170 do you think i can do can you estimate how much you think im gonna lose ? thanx

  1. Probably 30 pounds or so. You can't eat huge meals for your 2 meals. If you are, I would switch to 3 smaller meals.  


  2. First you have to know that 3500 calories equals one pound. If you get your bmr online then eat less calories then it says then subtract that amount from it you will get your daily deficit of calories. Now how many days until that deficit equals 3500? This will tell you how many days until you lose 1lb. For example My BMR is 1772 but I eat 800 calories a day. So I subtract 800 from 1772 which gives me 972. Now I muliply 972 and 4, which gives me 3888. So I know every 4 days I will lose 1lb. But, I do the eliptical everyday and burn 400 calories from that which cuts my 800 calories down to 400. So, I anticipate a 1lb weight lose every 2 days.

  3. You should really look into this website http://www.sparkpeople.com and put in your goal weight and when you want to achieve it by. It also gives you a customizable training log and it will tell you how many calories you need to burn a week to meet your goal! Its awesome

  4. You need to eat more often believe it or not.

    It's suggested that you eat 5 times per day:

    1: Breakfast (within 45 minutes of waking up)

    2: Small Snack (fruit / vegetables / low calorie snacks)

    3: Lunch (400-600 calories)

    4: Small Snack (fruit / vegetables / low calorie snacks)

    5: Dinner (400-600 calories)

    Cut out all fried foods, fast food, sweets/candy and try to drink nothing but water. No sodas or drinks with lots of sugar.

    Healthy eating is just as important, if not more important than the exercising.

  5. do you know that experts say that the best way too lose weight is by having 5 to 6 small meals a day! and obviously maintain a good amount of exercise. lets say: for breakfast you have a bowl of cereal, then a couple of hours you have a piece of fruit and a yoghurt, then few hours later maybe a sandwich, then say some more fruit and then have a small cooked dinner. this way your body is getting the fuel it needs and the metabalism is staying high. when you dont eat often but have big meals your body finds it hard to digest the food causing bloating and weight gain and if you dont eat enough then your body stores fat in order to keep its energy. so eat little but very often and exercise lots. hope it helps. oh thanks for answering my question by the way :) xx  

  6. It's hard to estimate exactly how much you'll lose, especially without knowing your exact workout.

    But, the important thing is to stick with it, b/c in the beginning you may not see results, but just keep doing it. You should lose a good amount, and even tone up.

    Personally, I think you'll lose about 20 or more or so depending on your strictness and diet.

It's possibel to lose that amount, but that will depend not only on your activity, but your diet as well.  If you're eating junk food and fast food, then no.  Try eating healthy foods, drinking lots of water, no soda.  You also need to do some weight or resistance training.  And eat at least 3 meals - you will lose more eating 3 meals a day than 2.

    The lack of calories with do the oppisite of letting you lose weight.

    When you have your meal your plate should be half veggies or salad. The other half should be divided and half should be a lean meat (chicken- not fried, but grilled) Stay away from bacon and ham. The salt content will make you retain water and are high in fat. Your meat serving should be about the size of your fist. The other can be a whole grain roll or potato on occasion, and other times fruit. Careful of condiments they are loaded with sugars and empty calories. Ketchup is a killer for it. Try low sugar ketchup- same taste less calories and sugar. 64oz of water a day will help your body not feel dehydrated and you won't retain water as much, plus you feel fuller longer

    Make sure you eat 3 meals a day and 2 small healthy snacks like celery sticks with light ranch, dill pickle spear or SF Jell-O, or NF yogurt. They help keep your metabolism going.

    Get  at least 30 min of exercise a day, it could be walking, using resistance bands or joining a workout class. Just up your daily exercises by 30 min and you will lose weight. Toning exercise is also a good one for you since you are eating healthy. Crunches, leg lifts, squats, wall sits and push-up will help tone you down and build muscles which burn fat
